Unfortunately, it has also been labeled as a carcinogen by The International Agency for Research on Cancer. Carcinogens are substances, organisms, or agents capable of causing cancer. And while the cause for concern with formaldehyde is more strongly linked to inhalation (ie: nail polishes and hair treatments), we prefer to support brands that care about how they help us and the planet glow.
